WERU is a vibrant, diverse, independent and noncommercial radio broadcast and online service. Its mission is to engage with the community to provide diverse music, entertainment and alternative news and public affairs programming, with emphasis on local people, issues and cultures. It offers many a wide variety of music and information programs, produced largely by volunteers from the community. Tune in!
In partnership with Maine Sea Grant, WERU presents an occasional audio series based on the monthly public affairs program “Coastal Conversations” (airs 4th Friday of each month at 10am). “Coastal Conversations in Acadia” will air throughout 2016, and be archived at http://archives.weru.org/category/acadia-coastal-conversations/
Additionally, WERU has partnered with long-time collaborator University of Maine Cooperative Extension, to produce two editions of the monthly public affairs program “Talk of the Towns” (airs 2nd Friday of each month at 10am) that celebrate the Acadia Centennial:
