In honor of the Acadia Centennial and the park’s dedication to conserving the land and the natural world for all to enjoy, Stephani Briggs will be featuring a series of designs based on her experiences and inspiration from the park. With a summer studio in Blue Hill, Maine, the park is a constant source of inspiration both in experiencing the natural beauty while hiking and biking the trails to the work at her bench in the studio.
The honeycomb form offered in this series is based on reiteration of both geometric, fractal, and organic forms. The Honey Coin earrings and pendant are featured dripping in golden honey, with sparkling drops of flower inspired gems. Cast honeycomb matrixes are 18kt gold paired with 24kt gold honeycombs. Shown with rubies and moonstones. Bespoke gem options available. The gold used in these pieces is entirely made of eco gold—sourced from preexisting gold to reduce further disruption to the natural world.
This series of work will be showcased at the 41st Annual Mount Desert Island Directions Fine Craft Show. As a proud supporter of the Acadia Centennial celebration a percentage of the proceeds from this body of work will be donated to support projects in the park.
