Lisa Gent Handcrafted Jewelry designs and creates one of a kind and limited production pieces of jewelry. I strive to create jewelry that is simple yet intriguing to look at and that will stand the test of time. People have been wearing jewelry since the beginning of time and it can offer us distinction and help to create a sense of self. The handcrafted aspect of jewelry breathes life and character into any piece of work. Seeing the marks a jeweler leaves behind reminds us that someone took the time, they had intentions when the piece of jewelry was being created. This makes the piece real. Taking my cue from nature I strive to create work that is organic and beckons to be worn.
In honor of the Acadia Centennial and the theme of “Conservation Matters,” Lisa Gent Handcrafted Jewelry is offering a specially designed necklace and earrings. These pieces are designed from the stone cairns that are found all over Acadia National Park and feature silver “stones” stacked 5 high on a long, blackened, steering silver chain. Also featured are silver “stone” stud earrings. These will both be showcased at the Maine Crafts Guild Conservation Matters event at the 41st Annual Mount Desert Island Directions Fine Craft Show.
Lisa Gent Handcrafted Jewelry is proud to be a financial supporter of the Acadia Centennial celebration and will donate 10% of the proceeds from these pieces toward projects in the park.
