Images of Acadia features some of the most beautiful photography of Acadia in Autumn, by award-winning artist and professional landscape photographer, Michael Hudson.
Acadia National Park in Maine is one of the most beautiful places in America. Professional photographer Michael Hudson has spent the last ten years photographing its coastline, mountains, ponds, woods, and autumn colors.
Under October Skies (Autumn in Acadia) is a brand new, coffee table photography book of some of the most beautiful images of Acadia, during its most colorful season–Autumn. The book is 144 pages, 12×12-inches, with over 80 full color and black and white photos, including several double page spread panoramas. It will be sold in stores on Mount Desert Island, the Hulls Cove visitor center and online.
One of my goals in photographing Acadia is to help people enjoy the park for themselves through my prints. But I realize not everyone has the wall space to hang a large print, or the budget for it. So about a year ago, I began to create what I hoped would be one of the most beautiful books of Acadia photography, all taken during the most photogenic and colorful time of the year.
I’ve chosen my best images from almost ten years of photography in Acadia and put them into a large, high quality coffee table book. For less than the cost of one wall print, you can now own over eighty of my favorite images. I’m really excited about this book; it’s been nine years in the making and it’s a beautiful work of art. One thousand copies are being printed for the first edition.
Coming out in mid-November 2015. Pre-orders are being taken now at www.acadiaphotobook.com.
5% from every sale of Under October Skies (Autumn in Acadia) will be donated to Friends of Acadia for their Centennial projects.
