Acadia Photo Safaris are hands-on nature photography workshops conducted in and around Acadia National Park led by Howie Motenko, a local, professional photographer. Every photo workshop explores camera setting choices, creating compelling and engaging compositions and developing a photographic awareness enabling you to capture Acadia’s natural beauty. All skill levels of photographers (beginner and beyond) are taught in a small, intimate group (limited to 6 participants) during the photography tour. Workshops are offered in the mornings, afternoons, or evenings to suit your schedule.
Acadia Photo Safari will host four special Acadia Centennial Lobster Picnic safaris aboard our locally built 28-foot ‘lobster yacht’. In addition to our standard cruise of personalized photography instruction and great photo-ops, each centennial cruise includes extended time for a lobster picnic served on the waters of Somes Sound. Join us in photographing Acadia from the water, indulging in lobster, and celebrating Acadia’s Centennial.
