Wonder and Protect Workshop

Date: Tuesday Jul 19, 2016
Time: cancelled -

Sorry, this event is cancelled due to low enrollment. Visit the Institute’s website to learn how to bring an IHE workshop to your community.

Zoe Weil, president of the Institute for Humane Education (IHE) and author of “The World Becomes What We Teach: Educating a Generation of Solutionaries” and Nautilus Silver Medal-winner, “Most Good, Least Harm: A Simple Principle for a Better World and Meaningful Life,” will offer an afternoon workshop at IHE’s oceanfront campus in Surry, ME, to simultaneously:
• evoke wonder and appreciation for the natural ecology and wildlife in our region;
• offer an understanding of how personal choices affect other species and the environment;
• provide inspiration to become a solutionary who helps create a more humane and regenerative world.

We’ll do the Wonder Walk, which awakens our senses and deepens our love for the beauty, mystery and complexity of nature; examine the True Price of everyday choices to assess our impact people, animals, and the environment, and explore how we can be Solutionaries for a better world. (Ages 13 and older)
