In March the Southwest Harbor Public Library will celebrate Women’s History Month and the Centennial with “A Passion for Acadia,” an exhibit and series of events focusing on art, women, and Acadia.
Join the Women Leaders of Acadia National Park and Schoodic Institute, Hannah Webber, Kate Petrie and Alexa Pessano, to find out what is happening at the Schoodic Education and Research Center. The presentation will focus on the Artist-in-Residence program, education programming and current science and research projects. Hannah Webber is the Schoodic Institute’s Research and Education Project Manager who has been at Schoodic for five years. Kate Petrie is the Education Coordinator, Schoodic District, and she has taught in Acadia for 29 years, specializing in geology and forest ecology. Alexa Pezzano, Director of the Schoodic Education Adventure Program, a graduate of the College of the Atlantic, specializes in marine ecology and outdoor recreation.Location: Southwest Harbor Public Library
