Time: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Don’t get stuck in September with nothing to write in your back-to-school essay, “What I did during my summer vacation.” Sign up for the second session of Penobscot Theatre Company’s Dramatic Academy Summer, and help bring a world-premiere production to vivid life!
Enjoy three weeks of full-day programming under the instruction of industry professionals, develop your skills on stage or behind the scenes, and together we’ll make magic! Centered at the Bangor Opera House, the program will include a field trip to Indian Island and culminate with four public performances—two in Bangor, one on Indian Island, and one in Acadia National Park.
Transformer Tales: Stories of the Dawnland will celebrate our past and inspire our future. Through poems, stories, music, and Penobscot language, we will dramatize traditional tales of the Wabanaki, weaving past, present and future, and honoring the earth, the skies, the rivers and the people of the Dawnland.
Youths aged 4–19 are eligible, and no prior experience is required. A limited number of need-based scholarships are available.Location: Bangor Opera House, 131 Main Street, Bangor
