Choco-Latte is exhibiting photographs by Sargent F. Collier for the month of July and part of August. The exhibit went on display coinciding with Bar Harbor Art Walk on July 1st and will remain on display until August 4th. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
Choco-Latte will host a closing reception on July 31st from 6pm to 7pm.
Sargent F. Collier was a photojournalist and author whose family has summered in Bar Harbor for many years. Mr. Collier wrote several books on Acadia National Park including The Triumph of George Dorr; MOUNT DESERT ISLAND: The most beautiful island in the world; and GREEN GROWS BAR HARBOR: Reflections from Kebo Valley. This collection features original photographs of Acadia National Park that range from the 1940s and 1950s, many on loan from friends and family never before published, and reprints made from the original negatives.
