Artist Judy Taylor will talk and present a slide show on the inspiring and magical places where she paints in Acadia National Park and our island of Mount Desert. The island and its environs have fired the imaginations of artists for generations, Judy among them. Also included will be a discussion on tools, lighting, palette choices, best times of day to paint and some of the other challenges and rewards of painting and teaching in a beautiful environment.
This event is part of the Southwest Harbor Public Library’s celebration of Women’s History Month and the Acadia Centennial: “A Passion for Acadia,” an exhibit and series of events focusing on art, women, and Acadia.
