Date: Thursday Jul 21, 2016
Time: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Come meet the artisans inspired by Acadia National Park. Join us for an open house and refreshments 10am–4pm, on July 21 in our Bar Harbor gallery at 99 Main Street in downtown Bar Harbor. Meet one of the many artists we represent who makes work that is directly inspired by Acadia National Park. You may learn about pottery that records the mountain vistas, embossed paper rendering the animal inhabitants of MDI, glass sculpture showing the myriad creatures that live in the tide-pools found at the shores, weavers whose work looks like a sunset over Sargent Mountain in spring, summer or autumn, baskets that reflect the history and cultures of Acadia’s Native people, or whimsical sculpture inspired by the joy of living in a nature rich area neighboring Acadia National Park.Location: Island Artisans, 99 Maine Street, Bar Harbor, Maine
