Hear, Here! An Evening of Science and Story – Tales from Acadia National Park and Beyond

Date: Tuesday May 17, 2016
Time: 7:30 p.m. -

Description:

True stories of the accidents, fortunes, lucky breaks, grueling tasks, and surprising breakthroughs experienced in and around America’s national parks. Among the storytellers at this Acadia Centennial event will be researchers, outdoor enthusiasts, and everyday people who’ve experienced the incredible opportunities for inspiration that national parks have to offer. Participants can expect a robust conversation with audience members, who will be invited to respond and share their own unique stories. “Hear, Here!” is sponsored by College of the Atlantic in partnership with iSWOOP (Interpreters and Scientists Working on Our Parks), and coincides with a nation-wide launch of science communications efforts in national parks.
