One Park – One Read: “The End of Night” discussion in Blue Hill

Blue Hill Public Library will be participating in One Park – One Read, celebrating Acadia National Park’s 100th anniversary in 2016. “One Read” is a community event where people throughout the area around Acadia National Park will all read the same books and participate in discussion groups at their local Libraries. Libraries all the way to Bangor, Ellsworth, and Mount Desert Island will participate during the months of February and March for a cozy winter community read.

University of Maine English professor Marge Irvine will lead a discussion of The End of Night: Searching for Natural Darkness in an Age of Artificial Light by Paul Bogard at the Blue Hill Public Library on Monday March 7th, at 6:00 p.m.

To register for a discussion group check the Library’s website calendar at Multiple copies of all the books will be available at the library for borrowing, and the books will also be available for purchase at Blue Hill Books. For more information contact the Library at 374-5515.
