Molly Neptune Parker, Passamaquoddy from Indian Township, is a Master Basketmaker and recipient of the 2012 Traditional Heritage Fellowship from the National Endowment of the Arts. In addition to her world-renown skills in basketry, Molly is also a talented chef and owned her own restaurant for nearly 20 years. Using a mixture of traditional and contemporary ingredients, Molly will demonstrate methods used in modern Wabanaki Cuisine, with samples for those in attendance.
The Cultural Connections in the Park series occurs every Wednesday from June through August and on select dates in September.
