A day of activities will take place at Sieur de Monts exploring the importance of national parks as living laboratories and vital settings for scientists to investigate how our world works.

2 pm: Ribbon-cutting of new climate science exhibits at Sieur de Monts Nature Center
2 pm to 5 pm: join park rangers and special guest presenters at hands-on stations examining how science is used to understand and protect Acadia and how you can get involved at home.
3 pm: join staff for a 45-minute walk to hear how science solved the mystery of why the Spring Pool is turning green, and to find out what the park is doing to solve the problem.
4 pm: Ribbon-cutting to celebrate the award of 8 electric and propane-powered vehicles to Acadia National Park through the Clean Cities National Parks Initiative.
Sieur de Monts lot will be open only to vehicles requiring handicapped-accessible parking. Free shuttle service from 12 pm and 6 pm between Jackson Laboratory event parking lot and Sieur de Monts.Location: Sieur de Monts, off Route 3 south of Bar Harbor
