Join the Mount Desert Island Historical Society, Dorr Museum of Natural History, and Bar Harbor Whale Watch Company on a cruise of the eastern coast of Mount Desert Island. Program speakers will describe the many adventures and discoveries of the Champlain Society, a group of young men who camped and studied on MDI in the late 19th century. Their work was a catalyst for the founding of Acadia National Park in later years.
